What you take with you on your end-to-end ride will be determined by a number of factors. Are you riding as part of an organised tour, are you cycling self supported, camping or booking accommodation? Whichever ride you are planning my kit list will give you an idea of what I took, what I found useful, and what I deemed a waste of space.

On my ride, I relied upon booked accommodation along the way. Some places were booked in advance and others on the day mainly through Booking.com and AirBnB. This meant that I did not have to carry camping equipment with me and it gave me extra time each day. I met several people along the way that were camping and I have to say that part of me envied them as they were free to pick any campsite or wild camping spot. If you are considering camping, here is a list of kit and essential items you should consider.
- Lightweight Tent
- Lightweight Sleeping Bag
- Lightweight Air Mattress
- Stove
